The position of Sales Manager, Venues at Encore is a pivotal role responsible for guiding customers through memorable event experiences by effectively identifying their goals and crafting tailored solutions that maximize event success and revenue. Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in sales or related field
- Experience in technology or hospitality sales preferred
- Proficiency with sales methodologies and CRM systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in variable hotel/convention environments including irregular hours
- Capability to meet physical demands of standing, walking, lifting, and handling equipment
- Willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Job Qualifications
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 1 year experience at Encore or in a similar role
- Experience in technology sales or hospitality preferred
- Prior audiovisual sales experience is a plus
- Knowledge of hospitality industry sales processes preferred
- Technical aptitude and computer proficiency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Duties
- Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach, utilizing Encore sales process and methodology
- Prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers
- Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to capture and service events
- Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and venue meetings to support customer event experience
- Understand event cost structure and incorporate into solution designs following profitability guidelines
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and support functions to enhance business relationships
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information in CRM system
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline ensuring achievement of revenue targets
- Support sales forecasting efforts ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Learn and adopt SOPs and new initiatives related to the role
- Maintain knowledge of new product and service offerings and emerging technology in meetings and events sector
