Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in sales or related field
  • Experience in technology or hospitality sales preferred
  • Proficiency with sales methodologies and CRM systems
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in variable hotel/convention environments including irregular hours
  • Capability to meet physical demands of standing, walking, lifting, and handling equipment
  • Willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Commitment to company core values

Job Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience at Encore or in a similar role
  • Experience in technology sales or hospitality preferred
  • Prior audiovisual sales experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry sales processes preferred
  • Technical aptitude and computer proficiency
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach, utilizing Encore sales process and methodology
  • Prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to capture and service events
  • Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and venue meetings to support customer event experience
  • Understand event cost structure and incorporate into solution designs following profitability guidelines
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and support functions to enhance business relationships
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information in CRM system
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline ensuring achievement of revenue targets
  • Support sales forecasting efforts ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Learn and adopt SOPs and new initiatives related to the role
  • Maintain knowledge of new product and service offerings and emerging technology in meetings and events sector
