The role of Sales Manager, Venues at Encore is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing the sales efforts focused on venue-based event accounts. This role entails guiding customers through the event planning process by identifying tailored solutions that meet their objectives while maximizing revenue opportunities for the company. The Sales Manager, Venues will utilize Encore’s established sales methodologies and tools including CRM systems and venue booking platforms to prepare timely proposals and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors. Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with key hotel personnel and clients is essential to deliver a world-class event experience and build lasting partnerships. This position supports broader company initiatives, business goals, and core values such as hospitality, accountability, and collaboration.

The ideal candidate will be proactive in driving results with a consultative sales approach, ensuring that the sales pipeline is well-maintained and revenue targets are consistently achieved. Duties include attending site visits and planning meetings, managing event cost structures for profitability, and continuously updating customer information to maintain accuracy and transparency. In addition, the Sales Manager will support the company’s sales forecasting efforts, adopt standard operating procedures, and stay current with new product and technology trends impacting the event services industry. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum one year of relevant sales or hospitality experience
  • Experience in technology sales preferred
  • Proficient with CRM systems and sales methodologies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to attend site visits and collaborate with multiple stakeholders
  • Flexible to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • BS or BA degree or equivalent experience
  • One or more years of Encore or equivalent experience
  • Preferably one year of technology sales or hospitality experience
  • Prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
  • Technical aptitude and computer proficiency required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive consultative sales approach utilizing Encore sales process and methodology
  • Prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers including those submitted through venue booking systems
  • Collaborate effectively with vendors and internal departments to capture and service events
  • Attend site visits, pre-conference planning, and venue meetings to support customer event experience
  • Understand event cost structure and design solutions according to profitability guidelines
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and Encore departments to deliver world-class service
  • Maintain accurate customer information in CRM and support sales forecasting and pipeline management
