Job Description
Encore is a global leader in event technology and production services, specializing in delivering innovative audio visual solutions and event experiences across a variety of venues, including hotels, convention centers, and entertainment spaces. As a company committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming culture, Encore emphasizes celebrating individual strengths, diversity, and belonging across its worldwide workforce. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction and industry-leading technology, Encore supports clients' goals by creating seamless and memorable event experiences. The company offers a dynamic work environment that blends technical expertise with hospitality, ensuring each event is executed with precision and professionalism.
The Sales Manager, Venues plays a critical role at Encore by leading efforts to guide customers through their event journeys, crafting customized solutions that align with their objectives while maximizing both event impact and revenue generation. Reporting to senior sales leadership such as the Sr. Sales Manager, Sales Director, or Director of Event Technology, this position is situated at the intersection of sales, customer service, and event execution within hotel and convention center settings. The Sales Manager is responsible for actively soliciting and securing event business by applying Encore’s consultative sales methodology, preparing and delivering compelling proposals promptly, and collaborating closely with internal teams and vendors.
This role demands a strategic approach to relationship management, ensuring continuous engagement with clients, venue personnel, and internal stakeholders to elevate the overall business relationship. The Sales Manager's ability to research client histories, understand individual customer goals, and maintain accurate data within the customer relationship management system (CRM) drives personalized experiences and successful outcomes. Sales accountability is another cornerstone of this role, with responsibilities including maintaining a robust sales pipeline, ensuring CRM data precision, supporting forecasting activities, and adopting standard operating procedures and new programs promptly.
Understanding event cost structures, maintaining technical proficiency on new product offerings, and embodying Encore’s core values—such as delivering world-class service, ownership, and ethical conduct—are vital for success in this position. The role requires significant interpersonal skills, a high degree of professionalism, and the ability to navigate complex sales cycles within the hospitality and event technology industries.
Salary for this position ranges from $46,270 to $60,151 annually, determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience, location, and potential additional compensation such as bonuses or incentives. This full-time role often necessitates working irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and may require travel to multiple hotel venues within a region. Encore also offers comprehensive benefits options designed to support employees and their families globally, further underscoring its dedication to workforce wellbeing and career growth.
