Job Requirements

  • BS/BA or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of Encore or equivalent experience
  • preferred 1 year technology sales or hospitality experience
  • prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
  • knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
  • technical aptitude and computer proficiency required
  • strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive consultative sales approach
  • prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner
  • collaborate effectively with vendors and other departments to capture and service events
  • attend site visits and pre-conference planning meetings to support customer event experience
  • understand event cost structure and incorporate this into solution designs
  • cultivate and maintain relationships with customers and venue personnel
  • maintain a healthy sales pipeline to achieve revenue targets
  • ensure all opportunities are accurately recorded and updated in CRM
  • support sales forecasting efforts ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • learn and adopt all SOPs related to the role
  • maintain knowledge of new product and service offerings and emerging technology
  • ensure customer information in CRM is current and accurate
  • actively refer and guide customers through the Encore network to secure additional opportunities
