Job Requirements

  • onsite position with eligibility to work from home up to 2 days per week
  • flexibility in schedule to work some nights and weekends
  • passion for event sales
  • excellent communication skills
  • experience in hotel event sales or equivalent
  • proficient computer skills
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • time management skills
  • track record of sales success

Job Qualifications

  • strong customer service and client relationship building skills
  • outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • hotel event sales or event planning or comparable experience preferred
  • proficiency in general computer knowledge
  • extremely detail oriented and organized
  • ability to handle a fast paced environment
  • time management skills and ability to re-prioritize
  • proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • flexibility to work some nights and weekends as needed
  • community involvement or professional association highly regarded

Job Duties

  • selling event spaces
  • serving as main contact between clients and hotel staff
  • planning menus and setting agendas
  • diagramming event layouts
  • coordinating all food, beverage, and audiovisual needs
  • managing onsite events
  • handling billing and post-event review
  • driving business development and revenue growth
