The Event Sales Manager role at the DCU Center in Worcester, MA, represents a vital position within this expansive network. This full-time position commands an annual salary range from $70,000 to $85,000, commensurate with experience, and comes with a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and a 401k plan. The individual in this role will be responsible for booking high-revenue producing events across all spaces within the Convention Center. Additionally, this role involves conducting familiarization tours and site visits, presenting compelling proposals to clients and trade professionals, maintaining strong relationships with service providers, decorators, and vendors, and working internally with the Food & Beverage hospitality team as well as the event management team to ensure accuracy in staffing and labor forecasting. Acting as Manager on Duty on a rotating monthly schedule is also part of the role, which may require working varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The successful candidate will embody a professional presentation and ethics, exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills, and possess proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
