Job Requirements
- bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
- minimum 3 years sales related experience
- excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- ability to prioritize multiple projects
- proficiency in microsoft word, excel and powerpoint
- ability to work under limited supervision and interact with all levels of staff
- ability to work long and irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- willingness to travel as needed
Job Qualifications

- facility or industry experience preferred
- excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- ability to prioritize multiple projects
- high aptitude for figures and advanced writing skills
- professional presentation, appearance and work ethic
- working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software
- proficiency in microsoft word, excel and powerpoint
- ability to work under limited supervision
- ability to interact with all levels of staff including management
- ability to work long and irregular hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- willingness to travel as needed
Job Duties
- use sales and marketing principles to promote the facility and maximize revenue potential
- send client pre-event and follow-up information
- manage contracts and budgets including drafting agreements, negotiating rates, and preparing payment schedules
- develop long-term sales strategies to increase convention services and profits
- collaborate with destination marketing organizations and hospitality partners to analyze economic impact
- conduct familiarization tours and site visits
- maintain relationships with service providers, decorators, and vendors
- coordinate internally to ensure seamless event execution
- develop and deliver on sales goals and metrics
- work with food and beverage and event management teams to boost banquet and catering sales and manage staffing
- act as manager on duty on a rotating schedule
- work varied hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
