Job Description
Hyatt Regency New Orleans is a premier hotel located in the heart of downtown New Orleans, just steps away from iconic landmarks such as the Superdome. The hotel is renowned for hosting a wide array of events including major conventions, corporate meetings, social celebrations, and banquets, attracting clients from around the world. Known for its polished, guest-focused environment, Hyatt Regency New Orleans places a high emphasis on delivering exceptional hospitality experiences, integrating service excellence with the vibrant cultural energy of New Orleans. As part of the globally respected Hyatt brand, the hotel offers a dynamic workplace culture that fosters professional growth, inclusivity, and a commitment to care for both guests and employees.
The role of Event Sales Manager at Hyatt Regency New Orleans is a pivotal position that demands a blend of hospitality expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for creating memorable events. This position is ideal for driven individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and excel in client relationship management. As an Event Sales Manager, you will be entrusted with leading the primary sales initiatives related to banquet food and beverage services, including menu planning and agenda development tailored to the unique needs of each client. Your responsibilities will extend from the initial stages of event concept development through to the seamless onsite execution, ensuring each event surpasses client expectations. Acting as the main point of contact, you will guide clients before, during, and after their events, making certain their experiences are smooth and successful.
Collaboration is a key component of this role, as you will coordinate effectively with various hotel departments—such as guest services, housekeeping, audio visual, accounting, and engineering—to guarantee flawless service delivery. Conducting site tours and representing Hyatt Regency New Orleans with professionalism and confidence will be part of your daily activities. You will also have the opportunity to participate in, and sometimes lead, internal event meetings and team collaborations, working closely with an assigned administrative assistant and other support staff to uphold the high standards and polished environment that define the Hyatt Regency brand.
Hyatt Regency New Orleans offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being, career growth, and financial security of its employees. The company prides itself on its strong culture of promoting from within, offering training, skills development, and career mobility. Full-time colleagues become eligible for affordable benefits after 30 days, including medical, dental, vision, life, long-term and short-term disability coverage. Additional incentives such as referral bonuses, free and discounted room nights at Hyatt hotels worldwide, paid time off including holiday pay and parental leave, and a healthcare flexible spending account contribute to a supportive work environment. Financial perks include a 401(k) plan with company match and an employee stock purchase plan. The Employee Assistance Program provides 24/7 support for emotional well-being, legal guidance, and personal and financial resources, complemented by retail discounts from popular brands. In this role, you will be part of a diverse team where equal employment opportunities are provided regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status. Joining Hyatt Regency New Orleans as an Event Sales Manager means engaging in a rewarding career where your talents will be valued and your professional ambitions nurtured.
