The Event Sales Manager at Hyatt Regency DFW plays a crucial role within the hotel's vibrant Events Team. This on-property position is responsible for managing and driving event sales, focusing on banquet food, beverage services, meeting room rentals, and providing comprehensive support for event planning and execution. The role demands a dynamic individual who can expertly handle business development, contract negotiation, and facilitate seamless communication between clients and hotel staff before, during, and after events to ensure top-notch service delivery.

As an Event Sales Manager, you will be the face of the hotel in guiding prospective clients through hotel tours, establishing and nurturing strong customer relationships, and collaborating closely with the sales, events, and administrative teams. This role requires leadership in event meetings and the ability to work effectively as part of a team to deliver memorable event experiences. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of experience in hotel or event sales preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and event management software
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Must have excellent organizational and negotiation skills

Job Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in general computer knowledge
  • Extremely detail oriented and organized
  • Prefer two years hotel experience or completion of an Event Management trainee program
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule

Job Duties

  • Sell banquet food, beverage, and meeting room rentals
  • Plan event menus and set agendas
  • Manage hotel meeting services
  • Develop new business and review contracts
  • Facilitate communication before, during, and after events
  • Host hotel tours for clients
  • Maintain strong customer relationships
  • Participate and potentially lead event and staff meetings
  • Collaborate as a team member with sales and events staff
  • Work closely with assigned administrative assistants and support staff
