Job Description

Arrowhead Events is the dedicated events and hospitality division operating within the iconic GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and state-of-the-art facilities, Arrowhead Stadium is a premier venue located in Kansas City, renowned for hosting diverse events, ranging from sports games to corporate gatherings and special celebrations. The venue offers a unique blend of expansive event spaces that provide an unforgettable backdrop for memorable occasions. Arrowhead Events strives to maintain a superior client experience by combining excellent service, innovative event solutions, and a memorable venue environment that highlights the rich history and excitement of one of the most celebrated sports arenas in the country.

The role of Event Sales Manager at Arrowhead Events is a full-time, non-exempt position that plays a critical part in expanding and managing the stadium's event sales portfolio. This role is specifically tailored for experienced hospitality or event sales professionals seeking to advance their careers within a prestigious venue context while competing directly with hotel, catering, and group sales managers in the competitive Kansas City market. The Event Sales Manager is tasked with driving new and repeat event revenue by managing the entire sales process, starting from lead generation to final contract closing and event follow-up. This position requires a dedicated sales professional with a goal-oriented mindset supported by a commission-based compensation structure tied to individual booking and revenue targets.

Responsibilities for this role include proactively prospecting new business opportunities as well as nurturing existing client relationships, which encompasses corporate planners, agencies, promoters, and community partners. A significant part of the job involves conducting tailored stadium site tours to showcase the various event spaces available and collaborating closely with food and beverage partners, operations teams, and event execution staff to ensure seamless event delivery. The Event Sales Manager also plays an essential role in maintaining up-to-date client records and forecasting sales using sophisticated event management and CRM software tools, such as Ungerboeck or similar platforms.

Suitable candidates will benefit from working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires multitasking and flexibility, including readiness to work evenings, weekends, and event days. The ability to communicate effectively, negotiate favorable contracts, and build enduring client relationships are vital to exceeding individual sales goals. This role also demands reliable transportation to accommodate the nature of work conducted both within office settings, around the stadium, and on active event days. Hours are generally standard business hours Monday through Friday with flexibility needed for special events and home games, making it a well-rounded opportunity for savvy sales professionals looking for a challenging and rewarding position within an iconic venue's event sales department.
