The Event Sales Manager position at Empire Medical Training is a pivotal role designed for a highly motivated and energetic professional with excellent presentation and communication skills. This full-time role is based in Fort Lauderdale and requires a dynamic individual capable of excelling in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing event sales processes, coordinating travel teams, engaging directly with physician clients, and assisting in seminar logistics on-site. Travel to seminar locations approximately one to two weekends per month is required, allowing the manager to immerse themselves in the seminar environment and directly support event execution and client engagement.

This job involves managing a complex variety of tasks such as taking seminar sign-ins, setting up training rooms, distributing educational materials, and driving sales through upselling additional courses and memberships. The role combines operational support at events with administrative duties including managing sales databases, recording inventory, handling communications, managing expenses, and reporting. This balance ensures smooth seminar operations while maximizing sales opportunities.

The Event Sales Manager must be adept at both inbound and outbound sales management, able to provide detailed information on course content, costs, certifications, and scheduling to prospective clients. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, demonstrates excellent organizational skills, and maintains a high level of professionalism and integrity at all times. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are highly desirable, broadening the candidate's ability to connect with a diverse client base.

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $50,000 to $55,000 annually, complemented by a 5% commission and bonus structure. Job Duties

  • The training programs are conducted either through live hands-on workshops offered at hotels around the country or virtually
  • The Event Sales Manager role is a competitive position that requires excellent presentation and phone skills, as well as an outgoing personality
  • When traveling to a seminar, the employee will assist in running the event
  • This includes taking sign-ins, setting up the room, distributing training materials, upselling, and more
  • These events present a great opportunity to encourage clients to sign up for additional training
  • If the employee works on a weekend, they will have subsequent days off upon their return from the event
  • The job entails managing travel teams, conversing with our physician clients over the phone, discussing our training programs, upselling our courses and memberships, providing information on costs, certification methods, training locations, and more
  • The employee will handle both incoming and outgoing calls
  • The employee will use specific sales tools to manage the database and sales leads
  • They must also be meticulous in carrying out additional administrative tasks, such as recording medicine inventory, handling inbound and outbound calls and reporting, managing expenses, reporting vehicle mileage, and other related duties as required by Empire Medical Training
  • This position requires travel 1-2 weekends per month, at times working consecutive days but will be given days off following
  • Events typically take place on weekends from Friday to Sunday or Monday
  • The candidate would be traveling to seminar locations Thursday through Monday, 1-2 times per month, to host our events on-site
  • Time flux weekend/weekday work
