Originating as a single Pearl Harbor cruise operator, this family of companies has grown extensively, expanding its operations into catering, transportation, live shows, photography, and off-site entertainment. Recognized as one of the top 250 companies in Hawaii, Stars of Paradise is committed to delivering the “Experience of Aloha” and creating memorable moments where fun begins for both their customers and employees. The culture promotes a welcoming environment anchored in Hawaiian hospitality, emphasizing teamwork, excellence, and continuous growth within a dynamic and forward-thinking business setting.
The company is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Event Sales Coordinator to join their team. This full-time position is local to O‘ahu, Hawai‘i, offering a competitive annual salary of $50,000 alongside comprehensive benefits including 401(k), flexible spending accounts, and an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP). The Event Sales Coordinator role is integral to supporting the sales and smooth execution of charter and private event business. Reporting to the leadership team, this coordinator will work collaboratively with internal departments such as operations, catering, and marketing to ensure seamless event planning, contracting, and execution from start to finish.
The position involves quoting, contracting, and booking charter and event business while managing event details from initial inquiry to event delivery. The coordinator is responsible for preparing contracts, conducting site inspections, assisting client walkthroughs, and maintaining clear communication between clients and internal teams. It requires a detail-oriented approach and strong organizational skills to ensure quality and alignment across all involved parties. Flexibility in schedule is essential as the role often requires work during evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate client needs and event timelines.
Candidates with proficiency in computers and a willingness to learn charter management systems are highly preferred. Bilingual skills in Japanese are considered a strong plus, enhancing communication with diverse clientele. While a background or coursework in hospitality, sales, or event planning is helpful, it is not mandatory, indicating the company’s openness to train the right individual who demonstrates enthusiasm, professionalism, and a keen eye for detail.
Joining Stars of Paradise means becoming part of a vibrant team that thrives in a fast-paced environment and values growth and adaptability. The leadership team fosters a forward-thinking outlook that encourages innovation and employee development.
