Job Requirements
- Successful completion of a background check
- Minimum 2 years catering sales or related experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, hospitality management or related field
- Proficiency in computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets
- Familiarity with brand-specific property management systems
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, hospitality management, or related field
- Minimum 2 years catering sales or hotel catering/convention services, banquet, hotel sales or culinary arts experience
- Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software
- Familiarity with property management systems like Delphi and Meeting Matrix
- Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, time management, listening, and math skills
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating business potential
- Ability to read, interpret documents, and write routine reports and correspondence
Job Duties
- Handle and follow up on inquiries for small meetings/events
- Negotiate contracts and banquet event orders
- Communicate group details and changes to all hotel departments
- Present potential business at daily business review meetings
- Conduct meetings with clients and hotel staff to ensure event expectations are met
- Finalize and detail catering plans for groups
- Prospect for new catering business using various methods
