The Event Program Manager role at Emerson is a critical position responsible for the end-to-end operational execution of the company’s hosted events, tradeshows, and virtual events. This role demands a highly organized and detail-driven professional who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments. Key responsibilities include leading event planning, managing RFP processes, venue sourcing, site evaluations, and selecting vendors and agencies. The Event Program Manager will oversee logistics such as room layouts, audiovisual setups, catering, signage, registration, and onsite operations to ensure smooth event execution. They will maintain scalable processes, templates, and playbooks focused on operational consistency and efficiency to elevate the attendee experience and streamline workflows.

Collaboration is paramount in this role, working closely with global marketing, field marketing, business units, and regional teams to operationalize event strategies. The manager will also handle management of event technology tools and platforms, including configuration, testing, and support, ensuring accurate lead capture, routing, tracking, and reporting in partnership with marketing operations. A strong operational rigor is essential to manage multiple workstreams effectively and deliver seamless, engaging, and on-brand attendee experiences.

In addition, the Event Program Manager will be responsible for tracking event performance metrics and generating insights to optimize future event investments. Budget management is another vital aspect of the position, encompassing forecasting, allocation, tracking, reconciliation, and financial oversight of multiple regions and programs. This role requires excellent communication skills to engage executive stakeholders and strong project management skills to bring discipline and accountability to every stage of event execution.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 8-10+ years of experience in event operations, event management, or experiential marketing (B2B preferred)
  • Experience with RFP management, venue sourcing, vendor/agency oversight, and budget tracking
  • Proficiency with event management platforms, CRM/marketing automation systems, and lead capture workflows
  • Strong communication skills with experience engaging executive stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with a disciplined approach to project execution
  • Ability to travel up to 30%, including international travel
  • US Citizen or Green Card holder

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to travel up to 30%, including international travel
  • US Citizen or Green Card holder
  • Experience managing large-scale flagship events
  • Strong understanding of event technology tools and production workflows
  • Expertise in lead management processes and CRM integrations
  • Strong project and budget management experience across complex timelines
  • CMP or other relevant event/marketing certifications

Job Duties

  • Lead end-to-end planning and operational execution for NI-hosted events, tradeshows, and virtual events
  • Manage RFP processes, venue sourcing, site evaluations, and vendor/agency selection
  • Manage agencies, production partners, and vendors throughout planning and execution
  • Oversee logistics including room layouts, AV, catering, signage, registration, and onsite operations
  • Maintain scalable processes, templates, and playbooks to drive operational consistency and efficiency to enhance attendee engagement and streamline workflows
  • Develop and maintain onboarding materials and training resources to ensure consistent event execution across teams and regions
  • Manage select event technology tools and platforms, including configuration, testing, process management, and support as needed
  • Ensure accurate lead capture, routing, tracking, and reporting in partnership with marketing operations
  • Track event performance metrics and generate insights to optimize future investments
  • Manage global event budgets, including forecasting, allocation, tracking, reconciliation, and financial oversight across multiple regions and programs
