The company is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Event Setup Supervisor to join their dynamic team. This full-time role entails overseeing all aspects of event installation, setup, and strike operations to ensure each event runs smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the event business, including expertise in fabric, carpentry, and lighting installation. They will have a proven track record of creating, setting up, and dismantling event spaces with precision and care. Supervisory experience is essential, as the candidate will be responsible for managing associates during event installations and strikes, making sure all tasks are completed safely, timely, and to the highest standards.
This role requires someone who is comfortable working at heights using lifts and driving both vans and box trucks, showing a high degree of physical ability and confidence. Flexibility in scheduling is crucial, as event demands can vary and may require working evenings, weekends, or holidays. Multitasking skills are paramount to juggle the diverse responsibilities that include coordinating with sales managers, managing vendor presence, preparing load sheets, and maintaining cleanliness and order in both event areas and warehouses.
The Event Setup Supervisor will also play an important customer service role by assisting guests and meeting planners professionally and courteously. The position demands meticulous attention to detail, especially in managing equipment, reporting maintenance needs, and ensuring safety protocols are upheld throughout all operations. Commitment to quality is reflected in tasks such as preparing floral and production items, labeling event setups clearly, and securing all event materials properly after use.
In addition to hands-on event work, this role involves maintaining accurate driver logs, vehicle inspections, and adherence to radio communication etiquette. The supervisor must demonstrate leadership in fostering a safe working environment by identifying and addressing unsafe conditions or acts. Continuous professional development is encouraged through ongoing training designed to enhance creative skills within event production.
Overall, this is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and skilled individual who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and who values teamwork and exceptional service delivery. The position offers a chance to contribute to spectacular events while growing their career within a respected and innovative event design company.
