The Event Production Coordinator role offered by LHH Recruitment is a six-month contract position based in the Portland metro area. This position involves working onsite at various event locations and requires a commitment of 25 to 30 hours per week, including evenings and weekends. The hourly pay ranges between $22 and $25, reflecting the specialized, hands-on nature of the work. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive on activity, enjoy physical labor, and are motivated by making events successful from behind the scenes.
As an Event Production Coordinator, you'll be instrumental in supporting large-scale events such as festivals, street fairs, concerts, and community gatherings. This is not a desk-bound job; instead, it requires working outdoors in diverse weather conditions and handling various physical tasks. The role demands a high level of energy, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively with production teams. You will assist with all aspects of event setup and breakdown, from transporting and organizing materials to erecting tents, placing signage, and loading and unloading trucks.
Candidates in this role will gain valuable experience in event logistics and production, working hands-on with equipment and ensuring that each event runs smoothly. The coordinator is also responsible for driving larger vehicles such as vans or small trucks between sites, maintaining inventory, and troubleshooting day-of challenges. There is an emphasis on safety and professionalism throughout every event, as maintaining an organized and clean environment is critical to successful event execution.
This position appeals to individuals who enjoy active, team-oriented roles and those eager to engage in behind-the-scenes event production. Flexibility with schedules and reliability are important, as many events require early mornings, evenings, and weekend work. The role also offers the satisfaction of contributing to community-building experiences and being part of memorable public events where your efforts directly impact the guest experience.
LHH Recruitment also provides a competitive benefits package for this contract position, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, along with short-term disability and voluntary benefits. Employees also have access to employee assistance programs, commuter benefits, and a 401K plan. Paid leave options such as sick leave and holiday pay apply where eligible, supporting employee well-being and work-life balance throughout the contract period.
Overall, the Event Production Coordinator role at LHH Recruitment is an excellent opportunity for motivated, physically capable individuals who seek a dynamic position in event production within the Portland area. It's ideal for candidates with relevant experience or those coming from fast-paced environments like hospitality who want to apply their skills in a new and exciting context. This contract position offers both professional growth and a chance to play a vital role in bringing events to life across the community.
