Job Description

Uber Technologies, Inc. is a global technology company known primarily for its ride-hailing platform, but it is also a major player in food delivery, freight, and urban mobility services. Founded in 2009, Uber has grown into a leading innovator in the tech space, revolutionizing how people move and get access to services through its digital platform. With a presence in numerous countries, Uber emphasizes a culture of bold ideas, inclusiveness, and rapid growth. The company’s mission is to reimagine the way the world moves for the better, driving real-world impact through technological innovation and transformative business operations. Its offices worldwide act as central hubs for collaboration and cultural identity, promoting dynamic teamwork and creativity.

The Event Production Specialist role at Uber is a pivotal position within the company’s operations team tasked with planning, coordinating, and flawlessly executing live and hybrid events. These events encompass executive meetings, internal productions, all-hands gatherings, offsites, and partner events across Uber’s offices. This hands-on operational role requires the specialist to manage event logistics, technical components, and on-the-ground execution, ensuring every step from setup through teardown is executed with precision and professionalism.

The Specialist acts as the primary onsite operator responsible for managing room readiness, content playback, timing cues, transitions, backstage operations, and live troubleshooting during events. This role demands not only strong experience in event production and live event operations but also the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, dynamic environments. The ideal candidate must be comfortable independently executing and supporting multiple events simultaneously, providing seamless operational support to stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Additionally, the role involves collaboration with AV Engineering, Workplace, Communications teams, and external vendors to achieve event readiness and success. The Event Production Specialist is also expected to contribute to the refinement of standard operating procedures (SOPs), operational standards, and scalable workflows, enhancing the team’s efficiency and effectiveness in delivering large-scale internal and partner events.

This position is based in San Francisco, CA, offering a base salary range of $131,000 to $145,500 annually, with eligibility for Uber’s bonus program, equity awards, and other compensation components. Full-time employees are also eligible to participate in Uber’s 401(k) plan along with comprehensive benefits designed to support health, well-being, and work-life balance. Uber fosters an inclusive workplace and is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and legal compliance in hiring. The role requires employees to spend at least half of their work time in the assigned office space to maintain Uber’s collaborative culture, with full-time onsite presence expected for some roles.

Joining Uber as an Event Production Specialist means contributing to a globally recognized brand that challenges norms and drives progress. It is an opportunity to utilize and expand your event production expertise in a vibrant, innovative environment where your work helps move the company’s mission forward. This role is essential for ensuring that Uber’s live and hybrid events run smoothly and professionally, offering an impactful experience for executives and employees alike.
