AVI-SPL offers an exciting opportunity for an Event Production Specialist who will play a crucial hybrid role within the organization. This role bridges the gap between event production coordination and hands-on technical execution, requiring a unique combination of organizational prowess, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will manage the end-to-end planning and execution of events, working closely with senior production managers and other stakeholders to ensure each project aligns perfectly with client expectations and technical feasibility. This role offers a dynamic work environment that includes coordinating live events, managing video post-production projects, assessing technical requirements on-site, and directing logistics and vendor negotiations. Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in live event production or audiovisual production
  • strong technical proficiency with live event and video production solutions
  • exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • ability to perform on-site technical assessments
  • experience with basic video editing
  • ability to work under pressure and maintain high customer service standards
  • valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • willingness to travel based on production and service needs

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in live event production, event coordination, or audiovisual production
  • strong knowledge of live event and video production technical solutions
  • familiarity with hardware and software used in modern corporate environments
  • exceptional customer communication skills
  • highly organized and detail-oriented
  • proven ability to conduct on-site technical evaluations
  • experience with basic non-linear video editing
  • ability to maintain a professional attitude in high-pressure situations
  • experience in technical directing, audio mixing, camera operation, and editing is a plus
  • college degree in video production, broadcasting, communications, or similar field is desirable

Job Duties

  • Partner with the Senior Production Manager to plan and execute event productions that deliver measurable results
  • Lead small to mid-sized projects from initiation to completion
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for event requestors, translating complex technical solutions into clear, actionable client communication
  • Develop realistic project scopes and estimates, maintaining accountability for the budget and resource allocation
  • Conduct essential event site visits prior to productions to perform technical assessments
  • Provide expert production advice to clients and internal stakeholders with support from the broadcast engineering team
  • Coordinate postproduction projects and utilize basic editing skills to create corporate videos and broadcast assets
  • Source and negotiate production estimates with external partners and manage vendor payments
  • Oversee daily coordination and design of live event productions, ensuring industry standards across video, audio, lighting, and streaming are met
