Job Description
The Manager, Event Production at QSC is responsible for providing technical direction and execution for all live events, including in-person and virtual, as well as managing pre-production/production activities in the QSC Production studio. This role collaborates with the Director, Experiences & Events and other Event Production Managers to support the creative vision for QSC events. QSC offers a hybrid work setup with the flexibility to work from home, requiring candidates to live within a commutable distance to the Costa Mesa, CA office for regular in-office presence.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent field training in Audio Engineering/Video Production
- 8+ years of experience in live events, live video production, and taped video production
- 5+ years working knowledge of tradeshow electrics, mechanics, and workflow
- Expert knowledge in live production software and hardware including Q-LAB, DMX-based lighting consoles
- Expertise in managing various AV streams and formats in a live studio setting
- Working knowledge of DSP and control platforms
- Experience in managing budgets and teams
- Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to travel 15-20% of the time depending on business needs
- Must reside within a commutable distance to the Costa Mesa, CA office with regular in-office attendance required.
