Job Description

Melissa Andre Design Co. (MADCo.) is a distinguished creative production company based in Los Angeles, specializing in the design and execution of elevated events both locally and internationally. Known for their meticulous attention to detail and innovative event concepts, MADCo. has built a reputation for delivering events that are aesthetically precise, logistically complex, and commercially successful. Operating as a full-time contractor position based in Los Angeles, MADCo. offers an immediate opportunity for a seasoned professional to join the team for an initial term of 3 to 9 months with a possibility of extension.

This role of Event Producer and Quality Control Manager is a senior leadership position within MADCo. you will be entrusted with the complete ownership of events from inception to completion. This means translating approved creative directions into events that are not only brilliant in design but also profitable. As a core member of the production leadership, you will operate independently without the need for supervision or oversight from the founder, fully taking over the execution responsibilities.

Your role will involve managing events that are complex in scale and detail, requiring a deep understanding of production logistics, vendor negotiation, fabrication oversight, and budget management. This is not a coordinator or assistant position; candidates must have demonstrable experience in independently leading and owning complex events end-to-end. The role demands high proficiency in reading and interpreting fabrication drawings, constructing accurate and comprehensive event budgets, and overseeing all logistics involved with high-quality standards.

You will be responsible for negotiating with vendors, managing fabrication timelines, and executing on-site event production with authoritative leadership. A crucial aspect of this role is the ability to uphold strict quality control measures and ensure that all production elements—from rentals to décor and fabrication—meet MADCo.’s exacting standards. Moreover, this position requires frequent domestic and international travel, sometimes involving intricate logistics such as customs, freight coordination, and collaboration with foreign vendors.

In addition to production duties, you will also handle pre-production planning tasks such as assessing event scope, creating detailed timelines, managing permits, and preparing documentation for agency and brand partner approvals. Post-production responsibilities include financial reconciliation, documenting lessons learned, and maintaining production readiness during slower periods.

Successful candidates will have a proven track record of producing events independently, demonstrating clear budget accountability, vendor relations, and a deep fabrication literacy that goes beyond superficial knowledge. This role suits a highly organized, decisive, and communicative professional comfortable with high expectations and fast-paced project demands. Your ability to maintain seamless communication with clients, vendors, agencies, and venues will reflect the premium nature of the events MADCo. produces.

Working with MADCo. means being part of a team that values precision, creativity, and excellence. The role offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to shape high-caliber events while showcasing your expertise in event production. If you are a seasoned event producer with the ability to take full ownership and deliver exceptional experiences without founder involvement, this role is an ideal fit.
