The Trade Show & Event Manager role at Wolters Kluwer is a pivotal position within the Global Event Management team. The Trade Show & Event Manager will oversee everything from conception to flawless execution of a wide range of corporate events, including internal meetings, client-facing activations, and strategic Tier 1 and Tier 2 conferences. The position may also involve managing a team of direct reports, making leadership and management skills essential.

Responsibilities include detailed planning, developing project timelines and budgets, and coordinating cross-functionally with internal departments such as marketing, sales, communications, and senior executives to ensure event goals are aligned with overall organizational strategies. The manager will also serve as the primary point of contact for all aspects of event logistics, vendor management, and stakeholder communications to deliver a seamless and high-quality experience. This role requires expertise in negotiating and managing third-party vendors like venues, production teams, and creative partners, while maintaining strict adherence to brand standards and compliance requirements. Meticulous documentation and budget reconciliation are key components to maintain transparency and operational efficiency.

Ideal candidates for this role possess at least eight years of relevant experience, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and the flexibility to travel frequently, about 50% primarily within the US and EMEA regions, with additional global travel as required. Strong project management capabilities, strategic execution skills, and exceptional communication and collaboration aptitudes are critical. Candidates must be resourceful problem solvers who pay exceptional attention to detail and deliver consistent, high-caliber results that exceed stakeholder expectations.

Compensation for this role ranges from $71,300 to $124,500 USD annually, with eligibility for bonuses depending on performance. Job Duties

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of corporate events including internal meetings client-facing activations and strategic conferences
  • Develop detailed project plans timelines and budgets to ensure flawless delivery and alignment with organizational goals
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing sales communications and executive stakeholders to define event objectives and success metrics
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned events managing logistics communications and stakeholder expectations
  • Source negotiate and manage third-party vendors including venues production teams and creative partners as needed
  • Ensure all events reflect brand integrity meet compliance standards and deliver a high-quality attendee experience
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation and reporting for all assigned projects including budgets timelines and final reconciliations
