Known for its commitment to innovation, integrity, and excellence, Wolters Kluwer fosters an inclusive and dynamic workplace where employees can grow professionally and contribute to impactful projects worldwide.
The Trade Show & Event Manager role within Wolters Kluwer Global Business Services is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing the strategic planning and flawless execution of the company’s most significant events. These events include internal leadership meetings, client-facing activations, and large-scale strategic conferences typically categorized as Tier 1 and Tier 2 in impact and scope. The role primarily focuses on ensuring every event aligns with Wolters Kluwer’s brand standards and business objectives, thereby elevating the company’s presence in the marketplace and fostering strong stakeholder engagement.
This position requires a high level of project management expertise, where the manager will independently handle complex event logistics from concept through to completion. The Trade Show & Event Manager collaborates extensively with internal teams across marketing, sales, communications, and executive leadership to define clear event goals, develop comprehensive project plans, establish budgets, and manage timelines effectively. Vendor relationships are another critical aspect of this role, as the manager must skillfully source, negotiate, and oversee third-party vendors such as venues, production companies, and creative partners to ensure seamless event delivery.
In addition to direct event management, the role may also include supervising direct reports, emphasizing leadership and team development capabilities. The manager champions operational efficiency by promoting initiatives that enhance innovation and deliver exceptional service across the events team. Detailed record-keeping and budget reconciliation are critical responsibilities, requiring meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
This full-time, salaried position offers a compensation range between $71,300 and $124,500 USD, depending on skills, experience, and location, and is eligible for bonuses. The role involves significant travel, approximately 50% primarily within the US and EMEA regions, with additional global travel as required. Wolters Kluwer also provides comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision plans, retirement savings options, tuition assistance, paid time off, and parental leave, supporting a healthy work-life balance and ongoing professional development.
Candidates interested in this role should be prepared for a transparent interview process emphasizing authenticity and individual merit. The company requires interviews to be conducted without AI assistance or virtual backgrounds, reflecting Wolters Kluwer’s commitment to fairness and integrity in hiring. Onsite interviews at a Wolters Kluwer office may be requested.
Overall, the Trade Show & Event Manager at Wolters Kluwer plays an essential role in advancing the company’s strategic event initiatives, ensuring top-tier delivery and excellence in all facets of event management, while fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
