Job Requirements
- A minimum of 1-3 years of hotel event sales or event planning or comparable experience preferred
- Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
- Candidates should be extremely detail oriented, organized and able to handle a fast paced environment
- Prefer two years hotel experience or completed Event Management trainee program
- Good leadership skills
- Ability to multitask and highly organized
- Proficiency in various event software
- Refined verbal and written communication skills
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties
- Responsible for short and long term planning and the management of Event Sales and Event Planning
- Develop and recommend the budget, marketing plans and objectives and manages within those approved plans
- Maintain or exceed budgeted sales and profits in all event areas
- Develop and implement effective marketing plans for generating catering revenues
- Evaluate each piece of event business to ensure it meets guest expectations
- Collaborate with the Culinary team to create creative and innovative menus
- Train, supervise and work with event staff to solicit, book, plan, merchandise and execute banquet and event functions
- Work closely with Director of Banquets to ensure quality levels and enhance banquet set-ups
- Lead event team to build long-term, value-based customer relationships enabling achievement of hotel Event sales objectives
- Administer all phases of the event department including sales, planning, marketing, servicing and administrative procedures
- Coach and counsel employees to uphold Hyatt service standards and procedures
