Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in related field or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum three years experience in hotel event sales or coordination
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Experience with event order management and client interaction
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and regulations
- Proficient in scheduling and coordinating group events
- Ability to handle confidential financial information discreetly
- Adaptability to changing work environments and procedures
Job Qualifications

- University degree or diploma in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Tourism Management, or equivalent industry experience
- Previous experience in hotel event management or similar
- Minimum three years experience in a 4-5 star hotel sales environment
- Understanding of Miraval clientele and group dynamics
- Excellent emotional intelligence
- Effective team player within sales and hotel departments
- Ability to adapt to policy, procedural and environmental changes
- Skill in creating detailed and complete event orders
- Experience managing group resumes and event communication
- Proficient in planning and conducting site tours and visits
Job Duties
- Serve as primary point of contact for all group business
- Coordinate events to ensure guest experiences match representations
- Generate revenue through educating and selling Miraval experiences including meetings, private meals, and programming
- Assure event services meet quality standards and comply with regulations
- Schedule hotel spaces and publish calendars to inform guests and staff
- Interface with clients daily onsite and handle staff introductions
- Conduct property tours, create catering and sales portfolios, arrange audiovisual and meeting needs
- Communicate with team members to ensure smooth event execution
- Maintain confidentiality and financial data security
- Participate in training and apply best practices
- Address guest complaints and resolve issues positively
- Manage rooming lists, cut-off dates, and attrition calculations
- Oversee final group billing, deposits, and payments including loyalty points and commissions
- Assist sales team with coordination of sales trips and familiarization tours
- Source vendors for services outside resort inventory
- Conduct follow-up post events
- Support team by anticipating and providing help
- Prioritize and follow through on all job duties
