As part of Hyatt's dynamic team, the Event Planning Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless coordination and execution of events within the hotel. This position is central to managing relationships between Meeting Planners and the hotel's internal departments, acting as the primary point of contact throughout the event planning and delivery process. The role involves handling Sales bookings, administering agreements, and overseeing detailed arrangements related to Food, Beverage, and Audio/Visual requirements. The Event Planning Manager also manages room blocks and monitors pickup rates, facilitates billing instructions, and conducts final reviews to guarantee accuracy and compliance with client expectations.

Beyond administrative responsibilities, the Event Planning Manager is also the on-site representative during events, ensuring that all aspects run smoothly and that guests’ needs are met with professionalism and efficiency. This role demands a high level of organization, attention to detail, and an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Job Requirements

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of hotel event sales or event planning experience preferred
  • Proficient in general computer knowledge
  • Extremely detail oriented and organized
  • Ability to handle fast paced and dynamic work conditions
  • Ability to move 10lbs regularly and push, pull and lift up to 50lbs

Job Qualifications

  • A minimum of 1-3 years of hotel event sales or event planning experience
  • Proficient in general computer use
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Experience in Sales, Catering or Banquets preferred
  • Completion of an Event Management trainee program or equivalent training preferred
  • Completion of PSS or equivalent training preferred

Job Duties

  • Administer sales agreements for event bookings
  • Coordinate all Food, Beverage and Audio/Visual needs
  • Manage room blocks and monitor pick up rates
  • Communicate billing instructions and perform final reviews
  • Serve as the on-site contact to ensure smooth event execution
  • Collaborate with meeting planners and various hotel departments
  • Oversee details to guarantee client satisfaction during events
