The Event Planning Manager at Hyatt plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of events booked through the Sales channels. This position acts as the essential link between Meeting Planners and the internal hotel staff, coordinating details critical to event success. Responsibilities involve administering all components of the Sales agreement, including specifying and confirming all Food, Beverage, and Audio/Visual requirements. The Event Planning Manager also handles room block management and the pickup process, ensuring that all elements align with client expectations and contractual obligations. Billing instructions must be precisely followed and the final arrangements reviewed thoroughly before the event takes place.

Beyond pre-event coordination, the Event Planning Manager serves as the on-site point of contact throughout the event, managing operations to guarantee smooth execution and client satisfaction. This position requires exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of hotel event sales or event planning experience preferred
  • proficiency in general computer skills
  • excellent communication skills
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to work under pressure
  • attention to detail

Job Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
  • refined verbal and written communication skills
  • 1-3 years of hotel event sales or event planning or comparable experience preferred
  • proficient in general computer knowledge
  • extremely detail oriented and organized
  • able to handle fast paced environment
  • two years hotel experience or completed Event Management trainee program preferred
  • completion of PSS or equivalent training preferred

Job Duties

  • Administer sales agreements
  • detail all food, beverage and A/V needs
  • manage room blocks and pick up
  • follow billing instructions and conduct final review
  • act as on-site contact for event execution
