The position of Administrative Associate at the Orlando World Center Marriott is a full-time, non-management role centered around essential administrative duties that support the smooth operation of the hotel. This role involves accurate data entry and retrieval from computer databases to update records, files, reservations, and respond to guest inquiries efficiently. The candidate is expected to manage various communication channels including mail, facsimile, and electronic transmissions to disseminate information and documents effectively. Handling standard office equipment beyond computers, preparing professional correspondence and documents using various software applications, and organizing both digital and physical filing systems are crucial aspects of this role.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to enter and retrieve data accurately using computers and point of sale systems
  • Proficient in operating standard office equipment
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 10 pounds without assistance
  • Willingness to follow company policies and procedures
  • Availability to work full-time at Orlando World Center Marriott

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in an administrative role preferred
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software

Job Duties

  • Enter and retrieve information from computer databases to update records, files, and reservations
  • Transmit information or documents using computer, mail, or facsimile

  • Prepare letters, memos, and other documents using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail including date stamping and distribution
  • Create and maintain computer and paper-based filing and organization systems
