Job Requirements
- Must live in the Denver, CO area
- Minimum two years of event planning experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with registration software
- Ability to travel approximately 10 percent
- Ability to manage heavy correspondence
- Must meet deadlines and work within budgets
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Ability to collaborate in a team setting
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum two years of event planning or coordination experience
- Hotel experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience with event registration software required, Cvent experience preferred
- Ability to work within deadlines and budgets
- Certified Meeting Professional accreditation is a plus but not required
- Ability to handle a fast-paced, continuously evolving work environment
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills
Job Duties
- Plan and coordinate corporate meetings and events from start to finish
- Manage online registration sites and communications using Cvent
- Oversee the RFP process and negotiate contracts with hotels, conference centers, and vendors
- Handle event logistics including rooming lists, food and beverage orders, audio-visual needs, schedules, presenter coordination, transportation, and event materials shipping
- Develop project plans for individual event areas with minimal supervision
- Respond promptly to attendee inquiries and requests
- Collaborate effectively with senior management and stakeholders
- Provide on-site event execution ensuring an excellent attendee experience
- Perform post-event activities such as reporting, reconciliation, communication, survey collection, invoice review, and recommending improvements
- Support internal teams with small meeting logistics and vendor selection
