As a trusted leader in the audio-visual services industry, Encore operates within luxury hotels and convention centers, delivering superior technical services that enhance client experiences and ensure seamless event execution. The company maintains a strong focus on combining technological expertise with outstanding customer service to uphold its reputation for excellence and reliability. Featuring a collaborative work environment that values inclusivity and talent development, Encore supports its employees with comprehensive benefits and a commitment to fostering a respectful workplace culture where diverse perspectives and unique strengths are celebrated. The working environment involves both indoor and outdoor conditions, exposure to various sound levels, and the use of advanced audio-visual equipment along with electrical components. Employees at Encore may be required to work irregular hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and adhere to professional appearance standards aligned with specific hotel or regional guidelines. The salary range for the Audio-Visual Services Supervisor role is $61,191.74 to $79,549.26, with actual compensation based on experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Additional earnings could include overtime, bonuses, and incentives depending on eligibility. This position plays an essential role in bridging the gap between Operations and Sales teams, ensuring that the location remains profitable while carefully managing costs to meet overall organizational objectives.

The Audio-Visual Services Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Director of Event Technology by overseeing daily operations of the audio-visual services for major venues. This role directs operations teams on all equipment setups and strikes, ensuring that business demands are met efficiently by scheduling and delegating staff tasks appropriately. The supervisor mentors and leads operational staff, emphasizing excellent customer service and adherence to company standards for room setups. Building strong working relationships with hotel staff, executives, vendors, and neighboring locations is a critical element of successful job performance. Billing and invoicing accuracy is maintained using specialized systems, contributing to the financial health of the location.

Inventory management is a priority, with the supervisor responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory levels while ensuring safety, security, and quality assurance of all equipment. This includes managing on-site inventory, coordinating internal gear exchanges among locations, and sourcing rentals only when necessary. The supervisor ensures timely delivery of equipment and services as required by clients and the hotel. Equipment maintenance is handled proactively, with swift action taken to repair any necessary gear. Staying current with new technology trends and equipment purchasing options is encouraged to keep services competitive and innovative.

People development is central to the supervisor's role, fostering a positive work environment for all audio-visual and Business Center team members. The supervisor manages staff growth in alignment with business objectives, provides ongoing coaching and development opportunities, and oversees human resources activities including hiring, performance management, and training. Maintaining a polished and professional image consistent with company and hotel standards, while ensuring the team reflects these values, is emphasized.

Training and development responsibilities include ensuring that employees are properly trained in all relevant areas. The supervisor supports property-wide training initiatives such as OSHA, safety programs, and employee enhancement initiatives. Continued mentoring and hands-on training with technical equipment helps to develop the skills of team members, with recommendations made for additional training as needed. Overall, the Audio-Visual Services Supervisor is a dynamic leadership position that requires a balance of operational management, technical expertise, and interpersonal skills to contribute to the ongoing success of Encore’s event technology services.
