Job Description
Relay is a leading technology company dedicated to transforming frontline operations through its Intelligent System of Action. Specializing in turning analog operations into a dynamic, data-rich, AI-powered ecosystem, Relay empowers the 80 percent of the global workforce that does not work at a desk. Unlike traditional technology firms, Relay’s platform is designed specifically to bridge the gap for deskless workers, providing them with advanced tools and capabilities that enhance productivity and communication. The company is part of a rapidly growing sector, recognized by prestigious rankings such as number 175 on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 and number 920 on the Inc. 5000, highlighting its explosive growth and industry impact.
As a hyper-growth company, Relay is trusted by over 40 of the Fortune 500 companies and several of the Fortune 100, with nearly half of its revenue coming from customers with $100K+ Annual Recurring Revenue. This financial strength underpins the company’s commitment to innovation and long-term value creation. One of the flagship innovations of the Relay platform is TeamTranslate™, an award-winning AI tool that has shown phenomenal 500% year-over-year growth. With a data capture rate of over one billion data points weekly, Relay is setting new standards in AI-driven operational intelligence.
Relay’s workplace culture is as cutting-edge as its technology. The company’s Raleigh campus is equipped with premium amenities such as a fitness center and sports courts, fostering both wellness and community among employees. Relay offers comprehensive benefits, including 100% paid health insurance, dental, vision, and other insurance coverages, designed to support employees and their families fully. The company prides itself on its internal motto of "Best Work In My Life" (BWIML), cultivating an environment where employees can thrive professionally and personally.
The Event Marketing Specialist role at Relay is pivotal in shaping the company's brand presence across the United States through both physical and virtual events. This is more than just an administrative position; it’s a strategic role focused on converting live event experiences into impactful lead pipelines and long-term brand loyalty. The specialist will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of events, ranging from expansive industry trade shows to exclusive executive roundtables. This role demands a combination of meticulous event logistics management, creative promotional campaign development, and analytical tracking of event outcomes.
Collaboration is key in this position, as the specialist will work closely with marketing operations and sales teams to ensure seamless coordination before, during, and after events. Your promotional campaigns will leverage multiple channels including email, social media, and paid advertising, designed to maximize engagement and registration. The role also calls for a refined approach to vendor management and event execution, ensuring all aspects from ordering to setup and takedown are handled professionally.
Candidates for this role will need to be highly organized, communicative, and adaptable, with proven experience in B2B event marketing or corporate events. The ability to travel up to 50% within the United States is a necessity, reflecting the dynamic scope of Relay’s event calendar. Those with familiarity in working with event management companies, project management tools like Asana, and CRM software such as HubSpot will have a significant advantage.
Joining Relay means becoming part of a company reshaping frontline work through innovative technology and exceptional corporate culture. If you’re passionate about making a difference and eager to drive impactful marketing initiatives that support a cutting-edge platform, this opportunity offers a chance to contribute meaningfully while growing your career in an exciting, supportive environment.
