Job Description
CMC Hotels is a distinguished hospitality organization committed to fostering growth and success for its associates. Renowned for its leadership in the hotel industry, CMC Hotels proudly manages a portfolio of properties that consistently surpass operational and financial benchmarks while delivering exceptional guest experiences. The company's philosophy centers around the belief in 'Growing People,' recognizing that the heart and driving force behind their success are their dedicated associates. As a result, CMC Hotels offers a supportive and dynamic work environment where employees are not only recognized but also encouraged to grow and advance their careers within the organization.
As an Event Manager at CMC Hotels, you will play a critical role in the seamless execution and coordination of group events and assignments that originate from the Sales Department. Your responsibilities will include managing all aspects of group contracts, including guest room blocks, meeting spaces, food and beverage arrangements, and special concessions. Maintaining excellent communication across various hotel departments is essential to deliver the group’s needs effectively and to foster positive client relationships.
This role demands an individual who can deliver exceptional experiences for both planners and attendees, with the ultimate goal of securing repeat business and referrals. The Event Manager will be responsible for promptly responding to internal and external communications professionally and efficiently. Careful management of the details surrounding pre-event, event, and post-event activities will be key, including tracking event particulars such as room blocks, meeting spaces, contract clauses, billing details, and any special requirements. Knowledge of the hotel’s food and beverage offerings, pricing structures, and general operations will be necessary to provide comprehensive support and assist in selling guest rooms and banquet facilities as directed.
Effective forecasting of group rooms and food and beverage revenues is another significant aspect of the role. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, flexibility in work schedules may be required to accommodate the business needs of the hotel. Participation in all scheduled training sessions and meetings is mandatory, ensuring that you remain updated with the latest industry practices and company policies.
CMC Hotels offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes competitive wages based on experience, paid vacation and holidays, medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid personal leave with immediate accrual, a company-matched 401k plan, life insurance, short-term disability coverage, and access to Marriott hotel discounts. These benefits underscore the company’s commitment to supporting the well-being and professional growth of its associates while fostering a positive and rewarding workplace culture.
