As the only Hilton corporate-managed property in Tennessee, this hotel uniquely blends artistic flair, musical influences, and historic charm to deliver guests an unforgettable experience right in the heart of downtown Nashville. Guests and visitors are drawn to its distinctive atmosphere, combining elegance and Southern hospitality to create a welcoming environment for all who stay or host events here.
The Bankers Alley Hotel Nashville is currently seeking a skilled and dynamic Event Manager to join their team. This exciting career opportunity is perfect for individuals passionate about orchestrating successful social and group events within a vibrant setting. The Event Manager will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and executing a wide variety of events that range in size and complexity, ensuring each one runs smoothly and successfully, leaving lasting positive impressions on guests.
As the Event Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for managing moderately sized and moderately complex events, typically involving up to 300 cumulative room nights. The role demands a keen ability to coordinate between the hotel and its clients, serving as the main point of contact to ensure seamless communication across hotel departments. The Event Manager maximizes revenue and controls expenses through expert negotiation and precise forecasting.
In this role, the Event Manager will oversee all facets of event execution, ensuring customer satisfaction, which is key to fostering loyalty and securing repeat business. Job duties include maintaining proactive communication in both verbal and written forms, such as group resumes, weekly pick-ups, post-event reports, and banquet event orders. This guarantees transparent and efficient coordination related to payment structures, room block management, food and beverage services, rental fees, and other financial considerations.
The role further involves analyzing guests’ service and product needs in relation to financial issues, authorizing resolutions on behalf of the General Manager within profitability limits. Acting as the hotel’s representative, the Event Manager will negotiate pricing, terms, and services associated with group sales agreements, including room blocks, food and beverage, exhibits, and other related services.
Additional responsibilities include managing vendor and partner agreements, conducting site visits, board meetings, menu tastings, and planning sessions for current and potential groups. The Event Manager is entrusted with managing the billing process for their events, involving invoicing, deposits, and payments adhering to financial protocols.
Participation in internal and external meetings and trainings is a vital component of this role, contributing to ongoing professional development and ensuring alignment with department and company goals. The position requires flexibility with work schedules to accommodate varying group needs and periods of high activity.
Overall, this position offers a challenging and rewarding career path for professionals seeking to excel in the hospitality event planning sector within a prestigious and culturally rich hotel environment in downtown Nashville.
