With a keen focus on exceptional service and attention to detail, Walters Wedding Estates prides itself on delivering seamless event planning and execution, ensuring that every occasion is both memorable and flawless. The venue combines beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, catering to a variety of event styles and sizes, making it a sought-after destination for those looking to host their special moments in a sophisticated yet welcoming environment.
The role of Event Manager at Walters Wedding Estates is a dynamic and pivotal position within the food and beverage team. The Event Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of event operations related to the banquet services, ensuring that each event is executed flawlessly from start to finish. This part-time position primarily involves working during weekends and evenings when events take place, requiring availability and willingness to work during holidays and late nights as well. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Event Manager plays a critical role in maintaining the high standards Walters Wedding Estates is known for.
As an Event Manager, you will assist with hiring and training banquet employees such as bartenders, servers, and dishwashers, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet the venue’s service standards. You will be responsible for managing the timekeeping procedures for banquet staff, scheduling staff effectively to maintain proper coverage for events, and spearheading food and beverage as well as back-of-house operations. Your leadership will be essential in managing the setup and breakdown of event spaces according to the specific banquet event orders (BEOs). Additionally, you will enforce consistent adherence to company policies, food safety guidelines, and cleanliness standards throughout the venue.
This role requires a highly organized, proactive individual with a passion for customer service excellence and team development. You will nurture and develop staff through training, coaching, and constructive feedback during events, ensuring the team consistently delivers 5-star service that meets client expectations. Sometimes, the role may require assisting with procurement and ordering of event-specific supplies, including alcohol, ensuring timely delivery and quality control. The Event Manager must be physically able to lift frequently up to 30 pounds and stand or walk for long hours during events.
The position offers an hourly wage of $20 to $22 based on experience and includes benefits such as a 401k plan with a 4% company match. Walters Wedding Estates has a strong commitment to fostering a collaborative and high-energy team environment, making it an ideal place for motivated individuals eager to grow their careers in event management and hospitality. If you have a passion for turning dreams into reality and orchestrating unforgettable celebrations, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a respected, vibrant event venue.
