The Dietrich College at Carnegie Mellon University is currently seeking an Event Manager for a one-month fixed-term, part-time role based in Pittsburgh, PA. As an Event Manager, the successful candidate will orchestrate all facets of event logistics, from scheduling and space reservations to vendor coordination and on-site execution. Job Requirements

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check
  • Applicants must be currently legally authorized to work for Carnegie Mellon University in the United States
  • Knowledge of event management software and tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work part-time
  • Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1-3 years of event planning experience required experience in arts film or technology contexts is preferred
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered
  • Proven experience managing events with strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of partners
  • Familiarity with immersive or interactive media is welcome but not required
