Job Description
Fever Originals is a dynamic entertainment company known for its innovative and immersive experiences. Since July 2019, Fever Originals has produced a captivating series of classical music concerts under the brand name Candlelight. These intimate concerts are held in unique and often undiscovered venues around the world, creating a warm and engaging atmosphere powered by candlelight. Cities featured include Paris, Toulouse, Lyon in France; Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Valencia in Spain; Lisbon and Porto in Portugal; and major cities in the United States such as Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago. With over 300 cities hosting Candlelight concerts worldwide, the brand continues to expand and democratize classical music, making it accessible to a wider audience by offering a unique and cozy concert experience.
For the Candlelight Concerts in Sacramento, California, Fever Originals is seeking a part-time onsite Event Manager to join their team. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of the weekly concerts held on Wednesdays and Fridays. The Event Manager acts as the primary point of contact onsite, coordinating with event staff and management to deliver an exceptional experience for all attendees. Responsibilities include overseeing staff schedules, training team members on various duties such as ticket validation, guest seating, and candle setup, and managing event logistics such as transporting supplies and maintaining inventory. The role also involves managing guest lists, handling printing needs, and delivering opening and closing remarks—primarily through recorded speeches but occasionally requiring public speaking.
The successful candidate will have at least one year of event management experience or a relevant degree, a passion for live music, and strong customer service and leadership skills. Additional skills such as problem-solving, ability to work under pressure, and knowledge of audiovisual systems are preferable. A valid driver’s license is strongly preferred to facilitate transport of materials to and from venues, although alternative transport arrangements can be made if necessary. The position offers a contracted term of six months, with the possibility of extension, and compensates at a rate of $25 per hour. The role includes shifts varying between 4 to 8 hours per day, with a maximum of 29 hours weekly, and may occasionally require work on certain holidays excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Fever Originals provides an exciting opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing company that is transforming how classical music concerts are experienced globally. The Event Manager role provides a platform for those enthusiastic about live event management, allowing them to contribute meaningfully to the success of unique musical events and potentially manage additional Fever Originals events in different locations. The hiring process involves a video call interview with a local project manager or producer to discuss the role in detail, followed by a paid trial workday to assess fit within the team.
