Job Description
Fever is a global leader in the tech platform sector for culture and live entertainment, dedicated to democratizing access to cultural and entertainment experiences through innovative technology and data-driven approaches. Operating across more than 55 countries and reaching over 300 million people monthly, Fever transforms how audiences discover and engage with live events. The company collaborates with prestigious industry leaders such as Netflix, F.C. Barcelona, and Primavera Sound, offering internationally recognized experiences that innovate the entertainment landscape. Fever's cutting-edge platform empowers event creators by providing technology and data tools to scale, innovate, and reach wider audiences, playing a vital role in shaping the future of live entertainment.
The role available is for a part-time onsite Event Manager position specifically for the Candlelight Concerts in Sacramento, California. Candlelight is a Fever Originals initiative that has been producing classical music concerts since 2019 in intimate, candlelit venues located worldwide, including cities in France, Spain, Portugal, and the United States. These unique concerts offer an accessible and enchanting classical music experience to the general public and have expanded to over 300 cities globally.
This hands-on role involves being the main point of contact onsite at Candlelight events, managing staff and operations to ensure a smooth and memorable experience for guests. The Event Manager will oversee staff schedules, training, ticket validation, guest accommodation, setup, and transport of event supplies. The responsibility extends to managing inventory, printing, guest lists, event communications, and occasional public speaking. Regular reporting and coordination with Fever Originals Project Managers are also critical components of the role. Fever seeks candidates with a passion for live music and event organization, strong customer service skills, ability to lead an onsite team, and the flexibility to adapt to a dynamic environment.
The position offers a rewarding journey with opportunities to grow within a fast-expanding company, potentially managing other Fever Original events beyond the Candlelight series. This part-time role involves weekly concerts on Wednesdays and Fridays, with contracts initially for 6 months and potential for extension. Compensation is $25/hour with a maximum of 29 working hours per week. Candidates must be prepared to transport event supplies and utilize their own laptop as part of their duties. Fever emphasizes inclusivity and diversity, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds. The hiring process includes a video interview and a paid trial day to ensure a mutual fit, promising a vibrant and supportive work culture committed to innovation and excellence in live entertainment.
