Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • CPR and First Aid Certification within 90 days of hire
  • Three years of event experience
  • Title 4 Basic Liquor Law Certification within 90 days of hire
  • Flexible to work evenings and weekends
  • Valid AZ driver’s license
  • Provide a 39-month satisfactory MVR report
  • Obtain a Tribal operator driving permit at hire
  • Pass a test for illegal drugs
  • Agree to maintain a drug-free workplace

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • CPR and First Aid Certification within 90 days of hire
  • Three years of demonstrated event experience
  • Title 4 Basic Liquor Law Certification within 90 days of hire
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
  • Valid AZ driver’s license with a satisfactory 39-month MVR report
  • Obtain a Tribal operator driving permit at the time of hire
  • Pass drug test and agree to maintain a drug-free workplace
  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Skilled in project management techniques
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Knowledge and experience working with Gila River Indian Community or other Native American Communities
  • Proficient in MS Office and relevant workplace tools

Job Duties

  • Oversee end-to-end event management from planning to execution
  • Develop innovative event concepts and themes aligning with client preferences and market trends
  • Oversee logistics, vendor coordination, staffing, and onsite event management
  • Quickly identify and resolve challenges during event planning and execution
  • Recruit, train, and supervise event staff and volunteers
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, local authorities, and internal teams
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and licensing regulations
