Job Description

Fever Originals is a dynamic and innovative company known for creating unique experiences that bring cultural events to life in captivating ways. Among its most celebrated ventures is Candlelight, a series of classical music concerts performed in enchanting candlelit settings across intimate and often undiscovered venues worldwide. Since its inception in July 2019, Candlelight has transformed traditional classical music performances by situating them in beautiful locations — from the historic streets of Paris, Toulouse, and Lyon in France to vibrant cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, and Valencia in Spain, as well as Lisbon and Porto in Portugal. The initiative has also reached notable cities in the United States like Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago, with ongoing plans to expand to even more locations globally. Candlelight’s mission centers on democratizing classical music by making it accessible to the general public in a novel and immersive format, thereby bringing high-quality live music to diverse audiences and cultivating new appreciation for this timeless genre.

This part-time role as an Onsite Event Manager for Candlelight Concerts is based in New Mexico and offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of this flourishing movement. The position involves managing events primarily occurring weekly on Wednesdays and Fridays, scheduling a maximum of 29 hours per week, usually in shifts that last between four to eight hours. While transport costs are included as part of the hourly rate, they will not be compensated separately. The role entails significant responsibilities, including acting as the primary worksite contact for both staff and event-related operations, coordinating with Fever Originals management, and ensuring the smooth execution of each concert.

As the Onsite Event Manager, you will hold a pivotal role, overseeing the entire event staff roster, including scheduling and communication with staffing agencies to manage any changes. Training the team on their specific duties — such as ticket validation, seating arrangements, or setting up the candles that create the signature ambiance of the concerts — falls squarely under your remit. Transporting event supplies to and from venues typically involves driving a uHaul truck, though alternative transport arrangements can be considered if necessary. You will also be responsible for managing all inventories and supplies, handling any printing requirements, maintaining accurate guest lists, and managing event opening and closing remarks, which may occasionally involve public speaking.

Beyond the operational tasks, your role extends to ensuring exceptional customer service as you represent both the Fever and Candlelight brands. You will be tasked with reporting weekly to project managers on event statuses and feedback, and may occasionally assist in scouting and evaluating potential new venues as the company continues its international expansion. This position not only offers a chance to grow professionally within a rapidly expanding company but also provides the possibility to manage other Fever Original events in the future, broadening your event management experience and network within the live music and cultural entertainment industries.

This contract role, slated to begin as soon as possible, lasts for six months with a possibility for extension based on performance and company needs. It offers a competitive hourly wage of $25 and demands a high level of professionalism, customer service excellence, and a passion for live music and event coordination. The schedule may also require some work on holidays, though not including Thanksgiving or Christmas when concerts are not held. Fever Originals is committed to a thorough and supportive hiring process that includes a video interview to discuss job details and a paid trial workday to ensure the right fit, culminating in a formal offer.
