Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sport/Event Management, Hospitality, Training & Education, or Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of event/operations management experience in large-scale settings
  • Minimum two years managerial experience with supervisory responsibilities
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD required
  • Knowledge of ADA compliance
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Experience managing diverse teams and stakeholders

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience managing events and operations in large-scale event settings
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sport/Event Management, Hospitality, Training & Education, Business Administration, or equivalent
  • At least two years experience in a management role with full supervisory and decision-making responsibility
  • Passion for providing high-quality guest service
  • Creative problem solver adept at handling guest concerns professionally under pressure
  • Adaptable and able to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work event nights, weekends, and holidays
  • AutoCAD experience required
  • Knowledge of ADA code and compliance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with large-scale events in stadium or multi-use facility settings preferred
  • Skilled in managing diverse stakeholders and demographics
  • Effective in managing multiple tasks and prioritizing

Job Duties

  • Directs two hundred part-time event staff (ushers/ticket takers/back of house security/parking employees) to enhance guest and client experience for over 200 events per year
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive guest service program
  • Meet with client groups to plan and organize assigned meetings and/or events
  • Create AutoCAD layouts for events
  • Consult exhibit managers, promoters, athletic representatives regarding physical set-up needs
  • Prepare work orders and cost estimates
  • Keep clients informed about deadline schedules and event specifications
  • Prepare cost estimates and monitor final billing
  • Maintain event-related reports, information, and files
  • Ensure staff compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Guide clients in preparation of events by explaining contract provisions
  • Maintain event operations equipment such as radios and metal detection wands
  • Make hospitality arrangements as needed
  • Create and distribute detailed information sheets before every event
  • Prepare and approve payroll for event staff
  • Review emergency planning procedures with all event staff
  • Provide leadership and guidance for event personnel
  • Work flexible schedule including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • Develop collateral materials for employees and fans
  • Act as manager on duty as required
  • Create work schedules for event staff, medical, police, maintenance, and operations
  • Recommend and evaluate required event staffing levels
  • Investigate and resolve event-related complaints
  • Assist in building preparation for upcoming events
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as assigned
