The Event Manager role at Oak View Group is a pivotal position responsible for guiding the planning, coordination, and execution of a diverse array of events, including conferences, trade shows, meetings, exhibitions, social events, and special projects. This role demands a highly organized and dynamic individual who will develop and oversee comprehensive event operation plans. Key responsibilities include managing floor plans, cost estimates, and the construction logistics of exhibits and displays. The Event Manager acts as the liaison for vendors, service providers, and clients, ensuring all aspects of the event are executed seamlessly to meet business goals and exceed client expectations.

The Event Manager will become well-versed in venue operations, convention services, and partner service requirements to deliver outstanding event experiences. Collaboration is essential, as this role requires close coordination with multiple departments like Sales, Marketing, Facility Operations, Security, Finance, Human Resources, venue partners, and other stakeholders. The goal is to align all team efforts to achieve flawless event delivery and promote customer satisfaction.

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $50,000 to $55,000, complemented by an attractive benefits package. These benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, and paid time off comprising vacation days, sick leave, and 11 holidays per year.

The Event Manager will be essential in ensuring that all event-related communications are centralized, facilitating seamless information flow among clients, contractors, and internal teams. Leadership skills are crucial for supervising event personnel and ensuring strict adherence to safety and emergency protocols during all event phases. Utilizing event record management systems to monitor event planning and operations, this role sustains high levels of customer service and operational efficiency.

In addition, the Event Manager will be responsible for coordinating event work orders and change orders, tracking additional billable items in partnership with the Finance Department. Guiding clients through contract provisions, venue policies, and regulatory compliance will be part of the role, ensuring that all attendees and contractors are informed and procedures are upheld. Hands-on management includes overseeing setup, execution, and teardown activities, conducting pre-event, during-event, and post-event walkthroughs to maintain quality and safety standards.

Budget preparation, vendor relationship management, and financial reporting are also critical components of the role. Proficiency in forecasting, database management, and event estimate preparation will enhance financial oversight. The Event Manager will also prepare timely post-event settlements and maintain constant communication with clients to organize event logistics effectively.
