Job Requirements
- bachelor’s degree in event management, hospitality management, or business
- 3-5 years of experience in event management or related field
- knowledge of facility operations and equipment
- strong budget management skills
- excellent communication skills
- ability to lead event personnel
- proficiency with event management software
- valid driver’s license or ability to obtain
- knowledge of safety and emergency protocols
- ability to coordinate with multiple departments
- strong organizational skills
Job Qualifications
- bachelor’s degree in event management, hospitality management, or business
- 3-5 years of event management or related experience
- working knowledge of facility management principles
- experience with budget preparation and control
- strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills
- excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
- professional development through workshops and professional societies
- problem-solving and communication skills
- knowledge of event operational characteristics
- knowledge of crowd management techniques
- knowledge of supervision, scheduling, and training
- knowledge of fire and public safety regulations
- knowledge of A/V equipment and electronic systems
- proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- knowledge of Ungerboeck, Social Tables, AutoCAD, or related software
- CMP certification considered a plus
- valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one
Job Duties
- acts as the central contact during all phases of event management for clients and contractors
- receives, assembles, and distributes event information via resumes to facilitate client requirements
- provide leadership and guidance for event personnel
- oversees and manages all event-related services to ensure client expectations are met
- ensure team members and clients are familiar with safety and emergency procedures
- coordinate and utilize event records management system
- develop and maintain positive customer service levels
- handle coordination of event work orders and change orders
- enforce building policies and procedures
- provide on-floor management of event services
- set up and coordinate pre-event meetings
- provide event schedules and records
- manage budgets and vendor relationships
- conduct walkthroughs for cleanliness and safety
- guide clients on contracts and policies
- provide exceptional client service
- maintain constant communication for logistics planning
- send daily post reports
- proficient in financial management
- prepare post-event settlements
- perform other duties as assigned
