The Event Manager position is available at the Arthur R. Outlaw Mobile Convention Center in Mobile, Alabama, offering a dynamic and bustling environment in a vibrant city with top-notch accommodations, retail shops, restaurants, museums, parks, and art galleries.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or university in Event Management, Hospitality Management, or Business
- 3-5 years of event management experience or related public relations, hospitality management, business, or related industry
- working knowledge of facility management principles, services, and equipment for a similar facility
- experience with budget preparation and control
- strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills
- excellent communication skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- knowledge of event management software programs like Ungerboeck, Social Tables, AutoCAD, and Vector
- Certified Meeting Professional Certification (CMP) is a plus
- possession of a valid driver's license
