Job Qualifications

  • bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, business administration, or related field preferred
  • minimum of 3-5 years of experience in event or convention services, hospitality, or related industry
  • experience with convention centers, hotels with meeting or ballroom space, or multi-use venues essential
  • strong understanding of hospitality-driven event operations and client service models
  • strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
  • excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • ability to multitask and thrive in fast-paced environments
  • proven customer service and conflict resolution expertise
  • financial proficiency in forecasting, billing reconciliation, and budget tracking
  • familiarity with event services, banquet standards, venue management, and room setup
  • collaborative team player with coordination abilities
  • knowledge of union labor environments
  • sales minded with ability to identify upsell opportunities
  • bilingual English/Spanish highly desirable
  • proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • knowledgeable in Momentus, AutoCAD, and database management tools
  • experienced with Corrigo or similar maintenance systems
  • familiar with procurement platforms such as Coupa or equivalents
  • certified meeting professional (CMP) preferred
  • certified special events professional (CSEP) a plus
  • project management professional (PMP) or similar certifications preferred
  • OSHA 10 certification is a plus
  • other relevant certifications in sustainability, revenue management, digital event strategy, or venue management valued

Job Duties

  • serve as the primary point of contact for assigned events
  • coordinate and conduct pre-planning site visits with clients and stakeholders
  • facilitate pre-conference meetings and post-event debriefs
  • lead clients in compliance with event policies and agreements
  • provide exceptional service by anticipating and resolving client issues
  • support sales teams with site inspections and transitions
  • identify upsell opportunities to enhance event experience
  • collaborate with food and beverage providers to align operational needs
  • maintain a visible presence during events to ensure service and issue resolution
  • oversee full client experience lifecycle
  • apply hospitality-driven planning principles
  • prepare and distribute event documentation prior to events
  • oversee coordination of venue services and contract partners
  • maintain onsite presence to ensure smooth event execution and safety compliance
  • conduct event walkthroughs to ensure readiness and condition
  • resolve operational challenges with internal teams
  • utilize event planning and maintenance platforms for documentation and requests
  • coordinate labor costs and service deposits with technical teams
  • prepare and share daily event reports
  • use software tools to support planning and reporting
  • engage with data for analysis and decision-making
  • manage event work orders and billing through financial platforms
  • provide clear estimates and manage charge changes with clients
  • support revenue forecasting and ensure procurement compliance
  • deliver white-glove service throughout event phases
  • respond promptly to client and attendee issues
  • collaborate on emergency preparedness and risk management
  • maintain knowledge of culinary and banquet standards
  • promote sustainability initiatives
  • complete post-event debriefs and surveys
  • lead meetings for planning and continuous improvement
