The company’s portfolio comprises seven world-class owned venues and a prestigious client roster that includes iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. OVG’s innovative approach and extensive industry expertise make it a dominant force in the live event and entertainment sector worldwide.
The Greensboro Complex is one of the chief facilities managed by OVG, serving as a versatile, multi-building event center in Greensboro, North Carolina. This complex supports a wide variety of community and regional events such as athletic competitions, cultural arts showcases, concerts, theater performances, educational activities, fairs, exhibits, conventions, convocations, trade shows, and consumer shows. The complex's largest venue is the 22,000-seat First Horizon Coliseum, renowned for its rich history of hosting major ACC and NCAA basketball championships and concerts featuring legendary performers such as Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks, and Elvis Presley, along with contemporary stars like Drake, Bad Bunny, and Taylor Swift. The Greensboro Complex also includes multiple exhibition halls, a mini-arena, meeting rooms, amphitheaters, aquatic centers, and theaters, making it one of the most actively booked event facilities in the United States with over 1,100 events annually.
The Event Manager position at Oak View Group is essential in delivering flawless event execution at the Greensboro Complex and the Steven Tanger Center. This full-time role offers a competitive yearly salary ranging from $55,000 to $70,000. The Event Manager collaborates with various stakeholders including promoters, in-house teams, and third-party vendors to coordinate events from initial planning stages through move-out. The role requires a highly organized and skilled professional capable of adapting to dynamic situations while maintaining an excellent public image and strong working relationships.
The position demands a proactive leader who ensures operational, financial, and safety protocols are upheld during events that can yield gross revenues exceeding $1 million.
