Following their strategic partnership, these entities have combined their extensive expertise to deliver unparalleled service and innovative solutions to some of the world's most iconic venues and brands. Legends provides a comprehensive, data-driven approach encompassing event planning, sales, hospitality, partnerships, and merchandise management, ensuring exceptional client and guest experiences. ASM Global is recognized as the global leader in venue management and live event production, overseeing more than 400 venues including arenas, stadiums, convention centers, and performing arts centers worldwide. Together, this partnership redefines excellence in the live event industry, supporting seamless operations and revenue growth for their clients.
The Event Manager position at Legends Global Long Beach Amphitheater is a crucial role responsible for professional client service and comprehensive event management within the facility. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this salaried exempt role offers a competitive base salary ranging between $75,000 and $80,000 annually. The Event Manager will work extensively with promoters, clients, and internal teams to plan, organize, and execute various types of events including concerts, corporate gatherings, community events, family shows, and other live entertainment. The role requires oversight from event booking through successful completion, handling logistics, staffing, compliance, and financial settlements.
This position demands a high level of coordination and communication, as the Event Manager will serve as the primary liaison between facility operations and event clients, ensuring all expectations and contractual obligations are met. The role involves conducting site tours, preparing detailed event floor plans and diagrams primarily through AutoCAD or similar software, and leading production meetings to guarantee operational readiness. This leadership role also entails supervisory responsibilities to event staff and contractors on-site, ensuring safety standards and policies are adhered to. Detail-oriented administration is vital, including event reporting, work orders, and final invoicing, alongside continuous improvement efforts like maintaining standard operating procedures and training materials.
Candidates for this position are expected to bring a strong background in event or venue management, with preferred qualifications including a bachelor’s degree in event management, hospitality, business administration, or related fields, complemented by 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. Experience with live entertainment events and supervisory roles involving stagehands or event personnel is highly valued. Technical proficiency is required in Microsoft Office Suite and event diagramming software such as AutoCAD, with familiarity in event management platforms like Momentus Elite or VenueOps considered a plus.
This role requires excellent organizational skills, communication abilities, and a capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are necessary for navigating the fast-paced event environment while building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams. The Event Manager must be adaptable, able to work extended or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as event schedules dictate, and capable of functioning independently or collaboratively. Physical demands include extended periods of standing, mobility around the venue, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and working in various environments including exposure to loud noise and weather.
Legends Global values diversity and inclusion and strives to create a workplace based on respect, integrity, and accountability where all employees can thrive. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of world-class events in a dynamic, supportive environment that embraces innovation and teamwork.
