Job Description

Legends and ASM Global are industry leaders in sports, entertainment, and live event management. These two powerhouses have combined forces to redefine excellence by leveraging unmatched expertise and global reach. Legends brings a comprehensive, data-driven approach to planning, sales, partnerships, hospitality, and merchandise, providing exceptional experiences for top-tier clients. ASM Global stands as the world leader in venue management and live event production, overseeing a vast portfolio that includes over 400 arenas, stadiums, convention and exhibition centers, and performing arts venues around the world. The organization is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and innovative work environment, guided by values of respect, integrity, and accountability, where all team members can thrive and succeed.

The Event Manager position at Legends Global Long Beach Amphitheater presents an exciting opportunity to join this dynamic organization. This role is pivotal in delivering outstanding client service by planning, organizing, and managing diverse events within the facility. The Event Manager’s responsibilities initiate from the moment events are booked, continuing through to their successful completion, ensuring seamless execution of concerts, community gatherings, corporate functions, family shows, and other live entertainment events. Serving as the primary liaison between the facility and promoters or clients, the Event Manager coordinates event logistics, prepares layout plans using AutoCAD or similar software, communicates with vendors and contractors, and supervises event staff on site. These functions require a high level of coordination, communication, and leadership to guarantee operational readiness and exceptional guest experiences.

The role offers a salaried, exempt employment status with a competitive base salary range of $75,000 to $80,000, reflecting the position’s importance within the organization. Candidates will work under the supervision of the Director of Operations and will contribute strategically to the facility’s event success. By managing detailed event logistics such as staffing, equipment rentals, compliance with safety standards, and financial settlements, the Event Manager ensures that contractual obligations are met and that events are conducted smoothly. This includes leading production meetings, coordinating labor estimates, and supporting special projects and miscellaneous events. The candidate should possess strong leadership skills, be able to work independently and collaboratively, and maintain professionalism throughout all interactions. Given the physical demands of the role, candidates must be prepared to work extended or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and be capable of handling physical tasks such as lifting and standing for long periods.

This position is ideal for an individual with a background in event management, hospitality, or business administration, who has demonstrated experience managing live entertainment or venue events. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and event management software like Momentus Elite or VenueOps is preferred. The chosen candidate will benefit from working in a supportive and inclusive workplace that values diverse perspectives and promotes professional growth. The organization encourages applications from women, minorities, individuals with disabilities, and protected veterans, emphasizing its commitment as an Equal Opportunity Employer. Joining Legends Global Long Beach Amphitheater as an Event Manager not only represents an important career milestone but also offers the chance to be at the heart of high-profile and diverse live events that define the entertainment industry.
