Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year experience in hotel event management
  • Proficient computer skills including event management software
  • Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, late evenings, weekends
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
  • Customer-focused attitude

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year experience in event management at a similar or larger hotel
  • Strong understanding of hotel catering and client event planning
  • Proficient knowledge of Banquet Event Order (BEO) processes
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities

Job Duties

  • Organize, plan, and prioritize event management duties
  • Communicate timely with internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents, or in person
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with clients to meet and exceed expectations
  • Demonstrate knowledge of hotel job systems, event products, and processes
  • Resolve conflicts, negotiate, and handle complaints effectively
  • Upsell and influence clients to maximize revenue opportunities
  • Ensure high-quality service by providing direction, feedback, and coaching to team members
