Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 2-4 years of event management experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Knowledge of wine preferred
- Flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs
- Ability to stand or walk for 8-10 hours
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Ability to bend, twist, stoop
- Ability to push and pull
- Ability to lift overhead
- Must be able to climb stairs
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree ideally in Management, Communications or related field
- 2-4 years of event management experience with emphasis on weddings preferred
- Proficient knowledge and use of computer programs such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Knowledge of and appreciation for wine preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills for client and team interaction
- Experience in event logistics and coordination
Job Duties
- Implement event execution procedures as per the First Batch vision and standards
- Manage all aspects of the event planning process including confirming details with vendors
- Anticipate potential client questions, issues, and conflicts and proactively troubleshoot
- Proactively engage with guests to ensure a positive experience
- Partner with Banquet Manager and Captain to ensure event is executed to plan
- Manage all event staff and run pre-shift meetings
- Interface with back of house staff to ensure proper delivery and coordination of food service
- Responsible for all BEOs, floorplans, and other administrative documents for events
- Attend weekly meetings with various departments
- Liaise with external vendors including coordinating deliveries and pick-up
- Assist with event tasting scheduling and management
- Monitor staff performance and guest experience during scheduled shifts
- Act as main point of contact for private event and wedding clients following booking and during planning and event
- Manage client relationships responding quickly and efficiently to inquiries by phone, email, and in-person
- Attend quarterly tastings and assist with client questions and event service
- Maximize revenue through up-selling event-related enhancements
- Clearly communicate client requests to appropriate departments to ensure execution matches expectations
