Job Description
The hiring company is a distinguished hotel and event venue known for its outstanding banquet facilities and commitment to exceptional guest experiences. This establishment specializes in hosting a wide variety of events ranging from corporate meetings and conferences to weddings and social celebrations. With a reputation for excellence and attention to detail, the venue prides itself on delivering flawless event execution complemented by high standards of service, culinary expertise, and operational efficiency. The professional environment fosters collaboration among sales, culinary, restaurant leadership, and event management teams to ensure seamless event delivery and memorable guest experiences.
The role being offered is that of an Events Manager, a crucial position responsible for overseeing all aspects of banquet event planning and execution from the time an event is booked through its successful completion. The Events Manager will take full ownership of event details including reviewing contracts, creating and managing timelines, layouts, and seating arrangements, as well as coordinating menu selections and staff scheduling. They serve as the primary point of contact for hosts on the day of the event, ensuring proper setup and adherence to guest expectations. This role demands a leader who can effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, culinary, and restaurant leadership to maintain high service standards and operational excellence.
Beyond event execution, the Events Manager is tasked with operational leadership responsibilities such as developing and enforcing banquet standard operating procedures, hiring and coaching banquet teams, maintaining inventory, and partnering with the culinary team to manage food timing and presentation. Financial management is also key, requiring the Events Manager to monitor profitability metrics related to labor, food costs, and expenses, while supporting menu pricing strategies. The role includes analyzing event performance data and guest feedback to drive service improvements and ensure successful outcomes.
The ideal candidate for this full-time position will have a minimum of three years’ experience in hotel, catering, or banquet operations, proven leadership skills in managing event execution and service teams, and comprehensive knowledge of banquet service standards, room setups, and event documentation. Proficiency in banquet systems, CRM, or event software is essential, as is the ability to read and execute detailed banquet event orders (BEOs), layouts, and contracts. Excellent organizational, multitasking, guest-service, and conflict-resolution skills are crucial in the fast-paced and dynamic environment. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required to meet the demands of the event schedule.
This opportunity offers a chance to join a respected venue known for its dedication to excellence, with the responsibility and influence to shape memorable events and provide superior guest experiences consistently. The role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a team-driven setting and has a passion for event planning and hospitality management.
