Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in event planning or hospitality
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and safety standards
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications
- Ability to resolve conflicts and perform problem analysis
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business, or related field preferred
- Previous experience in event management or hospitality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and collaborate with diverse teams
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of budget and financial planning
Job Duties
- Review and discuss event agreements with group sales manager for clarity and execution
- Consult with client representatives to plan event specifics including attendance, space, and food service
- Plan and implement special events, meetings, and conferences
- Coordinate arrangements with appropriate departments such as Catering and Facilities
- Create menus and negotiate pricing focusing on upselling
- Ensure seamless and flawless execution of events and presentations
- Complete initial contract negotiations and vendor agreements
