Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in event planning or hospitality
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and safety standards
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and perform problem analysis

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business, or related field preferred
  • Previous experience in event management or hospitality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with diverse teams
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of budget and financial planning

Job Duties

  • Review and discuss event agreements with group sales manager for clarity and execution
  • Consult with client representatives to plan event specifics including attendance, space, and food service
  • Plan and implement special events, meetings, and conferences
  • Coordinate arrangements with appropriate departments such as Catering and Facilities
  • Create menus and negotiate pricing focusing on upselling
  • Ensure seamless and flawless execution of events and presentations
  • Complete initial contract negotiations and vendor agreements
