The role of Events Manager in Coral Gables is critical to the successful orchestration of conference and event logistics, encompassing pre-event planning, onsite coordination, and post-event evaluation. The manager will work closely with the program management office to define conference scopes, schedules, and goals to deliver high-quality content tailored to industry requirements. This position acts as a key liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with corporate branding and marketing objectives. The selected professional will participate in vendor selection to identify and vet contractors and partners essential for logistical support. The role also involves conducting thorough venue assessments, managing hotel accommodations and dining arrangements, and overseeing the allocation of resources to optimize event success. Effective project management skills are essential, including budget oversight, milestone tracking, and measurement of event success through key performance indicators and participant feedback. Preferred candidates will have at least seven years of relevant experience in large, complex enterprise environments, with certifications such as Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) or Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) being advantageous. Job Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Seven plus years of experience in event planning, coordination and management in large, complex enterprise environments
  • Full lifecycle medium-large scale event management experience including personnel logistics, venue, vendor and supplier selection
  • Strong project management experience managing budgets, timelines and tracking milestones
  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline preferred
  • Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) and/or Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) designation preferred
  • Ability to conduct post-event analysis and evaluations
