Job Requirements
- flexible schedule required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
- this position will require more than 40 hours per week to meet business demands
- minimum of 2 years of hotel experience required
- event planning, sales, or food & beverage experience strongly preferred
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously
- proficiency in microsoft office
- experience with delphi, infor, or social tables preferred
Job Qualifications
- associate’s degree or higher preferred
- experience in event planning, hospitality, or related field required
- strong problem-solving and time management skills
- ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of service
- ability to lift, push, or pull up to 20 pounds with both hands as needed
- ability to stand and walk for several hours
Job Duties
- manage event inquiries, proposals, bookings, and contracts for events and group sales business
- actively drive revenue by identifying opportunities, upselling services, and closing business
- plan and execute events from initial contact through post-event follow-up
- create and distribute banquet event orders (beos) and event resumes with a high level of accuracy
- coordinate group room blocks, including inventory, cut-off dates, and billing arrangements
- partner with sales and revenue teams to maximize space utilization and overall profitability
- serve as the primary contact for clients, ensuring a seamless experience from booking through execution
