The role of Event Manager at Walters Wedding Estates offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of our food and beverage operations during events, overseeing the team members who bring these exceptional celebrations to life. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this position is vital in maintaining the high standards for which Walters Wedding Estates is renowned. The Event Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all banquet staff follow proper attendance procedures, execute banquet event orders (BEOs) flawlessly, and provide a five-star level of customer service. This involves not only managing team operations but also nurturing talent through ongoing training and coaching, ensuring that staff members are well-prepared and motivated.

Additionally, the Event Manager is charged with leading the set-up and breakdown of event spaces, maintaining cleanliness, and enforcing company policies to guarantee a safe and welcoming environment. This role requires a hands-on leader willing to engage closely with all aspects of food and beverage service, including procurement and quality control of event supplies. The ideal candidate will be able to manage the fast-paced environment and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in hospitality.

Offering a part-time schedule primarily on weekends and evenings, this role is perfect for someone adaptable and eager to contribute to a dynamic team. Job Requirements

At least 1 year in a similar role with comparable responsibilities preferred
Applicable work history
TABC and Food Handlers license required in Texas
Able to lift 30 lbs frequently
Able to stand or walk 8-12 hours
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Submit or complete background check
Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Job Duties

Ensure all banquet staff conduct clock-in and clock-out procedures
Ensure 5-star reviews by executing BEOs and delivering exceptional customer service
Follow all safe food handling guidelines
Nurture and develop employees through training, coaching, and providing constructive feedback during events
Spearhead Food and Beverage and back-of-house operations during events
Lead the set-up and breakdown of all event spaces according to the outlined BEO
Maintain venue cleanliness pre- and post-events
May assist with procuring and ordering event and venue-specific supplies, including alcohol, and ensuring timely delivery and quality control
Enforce company standards, policies, and procedures consistently
